Dominic Knight

Dominic Knight was one of the founders of The Chaser satirical newspaper in 1999, and also one of its destroyers in 2004 after the group finally acknowledged that it would never turn a profit. Since then he’s worked on the team’s various projects in print, stage, radio, television and online. Most notably he has written for ABC-TV’s The Hamster Wheel, Yes We Canberra! and The Chaser’s War On Everything.

He regularly writes for Daily Life, the Sydney Morning Herald and SBS Life and Food, and was previously a columnist for The Drum. His first novel Disco Boy (2009) portrayed the career travails of a disaffected law graduate suspiciously like himself, and its successor Comrades (2010) delved into the grubby world of student politics. His third novel, Man vs Child, was released in 2013, and was produced for a Doctor of Arts degree at the University of Sydney.

From 2012, Dominic hosted Evenings on 702 ABC Sydney and across NSW and the ACT. He left in April 2016, but still frequently fills in presenting other shows on the network. In 2017 Dom joined Triple M Sydney as the host of the weekday lunchtime show ‘Radio Chaser’.
